Everything You Need To Know About Kitchen Design

Does your kitchen design date back to the 1980’s? Is it all around dysfunctional for the way your family lives? Or perhaps closed-off and dark? Fear not, we will be walking you through this simple process.

We will be taking you through the entire process of a full or partial kitchen design remodel and what to expect during your project.

Step 1: Initial Discovery & Consultation

The first step in our typical kitchen design process is a phone call or discovery call. During this step we will discuss with you the scope of your project over the phone and whether or not we would be a good fit. This can be determined by discussing things such as your desired deadline, our availability for your project, as well as your estimated budget at this time.

Step 2: Design & Project Plan

The next step in the process is a site visit and measure where we meet in person. We typically take detailed photos and notes of your kitchen as well as measurements for quoting purposes. It is best if all decision-makers in the home are present at this meeting.

Step 3: Approval & Project Launch

A few weeks later we will present you with exciting concept boards for your kitchen design based on our detailed discussions and inspiration from various sources. After your approval of the concept boards, a retainer is received, and we begin designing floor plans. After the design plans are finalized (typically a few weeks later), the ordering of products begins, and contractors are booked.

Step 4: Project Management

Throughout your project, our job is to be your advocate during the process. We manage your project by overseeing contractors, tracking the delivery of the product and receiving shipments. We also inspect the work of the contractors and typically address any issues before you even notice. Our job is to give you complete peace of mind during your entire kitchen remodel.

Step 5: Kitchen Installation

Towards the end of the project, your appliances and other furnishings will be delivered. We take care of removal of trash and other miscellaneous items. It is also at this time we start accessorizing your kitchen, using items you already have and also introducing cool new ones, with your approval, of course. We like to make the space ready for you to just walk in the door.
